I am a Great Mathematician

 

The Africa Mathematics Project is the operational name of the AFRIMAP CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION HUB registered under the corporate affairs commission of Nigeria as a non-profit development organization.

With a mandate to create a new culture of innovative and scientific development approaches across Africa; the Africa Mathematics Project is achieving its mandate by working with African children within the age bracket of 3 to 18 years.

Creating a new excitement for Mathematics and other science related subjects, the Africa Mathematics project is stimulating a new generation of African Children who will grow into a new breed of African development catalysts armed with a mindset of possibilities and a better life for the people of Africa.

With a vision timeline that spans between 2017 to 2033, the Africa Mathematics project is driven by a vision that is birth from the need to secure the future of Africa through a generational approach.

Special Projects & Beneficiaries

What are the special projects of Africa Mathematics Project?

  1. Mathematics scholarship support fund-Based on support from partners, a special education support to selected children is given periodically (drawn from a computer-based raffle draw)
  2. Africa teachers’ food bank: a certain percentage from the sale of our books is set aside to give free food supplies once in a session to mathematics teachers and heads of schools in schools that host our event.
  3. Mathematics Ambassadorial Award – It is a special award set aside to recognize, reward and celebrate outstanding performance specifically in mathematics where selected children from different classes are publicly awarded a certificate honoring them as distinguished ambassadors of Mathematics.
  4. Mathematics School Competition- A special Mathematics competition designed to raise excellence in Mathematics amongst schools in a particular location with prizes given to deserving winners
  5. Skill Bank Project-This is a digital platform that is designed to train children in more than ten different skills for a period of three months
  6. The Next Bill Gates Summit –This is a special event created to inspire children to achieve scientific excellence like one of the world’s richest men-Bill Gates.
